Questa pagina contiene un elenco di programmi di vario genere, utili per chi opera nell’ambito delle Digital Humanities.
Li ho divisi per categorie:
Fotoritocco, Modellazione 3D, Fotogrammetria, GIS, 3D Real Time Engines, Database, Altro.
Ogni scheda contiene una veloce descrizione, che non pretende di spiegare in modo dettagliato ed esaustivo le funzionalità del software (per questo si rimanda a manuali e tutorial) e link ai siti ufficiali di produttori e sviluppatori delle applicazioni, controllati periodicamente con Virustotal, al fine di garantirne la sicurezza e l’assenza di malware.
Quando possibile ho proposto sia programmi gratuiti che alternative commerciali (alcuni offrono licenze educational a prezzi ridotti rivolte a docenti, ricercatori, studenti e sviluppatori indie).
Qui non troverete alcun file da scaricare, tantomeno software piratato.
Ovviamente vi raccomando di controllare attentamente la compatibilità delle applicazioni con i vostri computer e sistemi operativi e non mi assumo alcuna responsabilità per eventuali malfunzionamenti o perdite di dati. Eseguite sempre un backup e create dei punti di ripristino del sistema prima di installare applicazioni. E anche quando scaricate un file dal sito di un produttore affidabile, può essere utile controllarlo con Virustotal.
Today many browsers offer the ability to automatically translate pages into one’s own language, so an English translation might seem unnecessary, but at least the most important pages of the portal (introductions, privacy and cookie policies, resources) will present bilingual text to accommodate those without a browser with an automatic translator.
This page contains a list of programs of various kinds that are useful for those working in the digital humanities.
I have divided them by categories:
Photo Editing, 3D Modeling, Photogrammetry, GIS, 3D Real Time Engines, Databases, Other.
Each tab contains a quick description, which does not pretend to explain in detail and exhaustively the functionality of the software (for this we refer to manuals and tutorials) and links to the official sites of producers and developers of the applications, checked periodically with Virustotal, in order to ensure their security and the absence of malware.
Whenever possible I have offered both free programs and commercial alternatives (some offer educational licenses at reduced prices aimed at teachers, researchers, students and indie developers).
Here you will not find any files to download, let alone pirated software.
Of course, I recommend that you carefully check the compatibility of applications with your computers and operating systems, and I take no responsibility for any malfunctions or loss of data. Always make a backup and create system restore points before installing applications. And even when you download a file from a reputable manufacturer’s site, it can be useful to check it with Virustotal.
